Since the hotel had given me 2 room keys, and I just carried both with me due to laziness, I slipped the cardholder with my room number and 1 card out of my pocket and palmed it in my hand. I would have to squeeze through them if I wanted to make a quick exit.
Unluckily for me, the bride and groom and assorted relatives were there as well saying goodnight to other exiting guests.
Gratefully I said my goodnights and made my way towards the exit. Since dessert had already been served she relented but decided to stay for an after-dinner drink to catch up with some family. I think my face blushed as red as I had made Jasons' face a few times today but after swallowing told her I wasn't but I was feeling flushed and if she didn't mind I'd go to my room to lie down. 'You've been up to something!' She hissed through her teeth. After introducing the boy god Jason into the joys of bottoming in the unused cloakroom during dinner and distracting his fiance Anna after I returned to my table where my friend looked at my face and squinted.
